CompTIA Security+ Cert Bootcamp (SEC-115)

You will prepare for the CompTIA Security + SY0-501 throughout this course. Instructor-led lecture, class discussion, group questions, independent study time and three pre-tests will be completed during this course. Students who meet our recommended pre-test benchmarks will sit the exam in-class on the day five.

AUDIENCE

Students interested in passing the Security + Test, SY0-501; students who are mandated to pass Security + Exam SY0-501 under FISMA Directive 8570.

PREREQUISITES

Basic Windows skills and fundamental understanding of computer and networking concepts are required.

CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, or equivalent knowledge, and six to nine months experience in networking, including experience configuring and managing TCP/IP, are strongly recommended. Students can obtain this level of skill and knowledge by taking any of the following Element K courses: CompTIA A+ Certification: A Comprehensive Approach for all 220-901 and 220-902 Exam Objectives Network+ Certification: Fourth Edition – A CompTIA Certification or CompTIA Network+ (N10-006 Objectives).

Additional introductory courses or work experience in application development and programming, or in network and operating system administration for any software platform or system are helpful but not required.
