Featured STL Networking Student for March 2019
ANTHONY STEVENS II
I grew up on the north side of St. Louis. After being a Team Leader for 3 years at General Motors, I witnessed how robots and technology assisted in making the most physically demanding jobs easier for my team, more efficient for the plant, and safer for consumers due to the accuracy of manufacturing. This experience was impressive and validated that there is no better time than now to pursue IT interests.
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: After hearing all the Centriq commercials highlighting the demands of the IT industry especially in the St. Louis area, I conveyed my interests to a close friend that happened to currently work for Centriq. I immediately perused the website and decided that success in this program will satisfy me professionally for the rest of my life!
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I am particularly intrigued by the Networking class so far. This class digs into switches and routers and how to make them work. It is exciting to see the many hours of studying terms, concepts, and protocols come together and harmoniously perform.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: After Centriq, I plan on pursuing Network Administration or instructing future generations to excel in IT.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: Other than technology my interest includes traveling, reading, and volunteering with several organizations.
