Featured Networking Student for October 2020
My name is Krystal Bledsoe, I was raised in Paola, KS. In 2009, I graduated from Pittsburg State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Case Management. I have worked 10+ years in the Human Services field working with troubled youth, juvenile offenders, adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and foster care. I have a passion for working directly with people of all ages and abilities and take pride in treating others with the utmost respect.
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: The pandemic opened my eyes to the importance of technology and connectivity to the point I decided that pursuing a career in IT was the best path for my future. A google search brought me to Centriq and the wonderful opportunities and avenues I could pursue for my future career. I came to Centriq because I really felt that Centriq Training provided the student and career services that ultimately I was looking for to help with my career change.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I have become extremely interested in PowerShell and how vitally important the concept of this program can be for any company I could potentially work for. I have enjoyed all of my courses and instructors up to this point and believe every course builds upon the next to give me the best chance out in the field.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: After Centriq, I hope to obtain employment working as part of a team where I can always use my transferable skills and learned IT skills to keep end-users connected and businesses up and running. I would like to pursue a career where I can build upon and expand my PowerShell scripting and networking skills, while also working directly with people.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: I have been an athlete my whole life and continue to play sports as my hobby. I have been a part of a traveling competitive slow-pitch women’s softball team for the past 3 years and have won 2 world series tournaments in our divisions. The KC Royals and Chiefs are my favorite sports teams, Marvel and DC are my first choice of movies and television, and I love putting puzzles together. My parents are my hero’s and best friends.
