Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: For the past three years, I have been developing programming skills using Excel and then C++. With the discovery of my wife expecting a child in nine months; I knew it was time for a change from coding as a hobby to a job. I wanted to go to a reputable school, and my research pointed me to a name I have been hearing for over a year on Pandora and the traditional radio. Centriq.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I enjoy C# fundamentals the most because it is a more elegant way to accomplish what I have been working on in Excel and tried to start in C++. I also enjoy the simple logic that C# brings when troubleshooting. It’s not also a simple fix, but it is clear what went wrong, when.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: After Centriq, I hope to work in middle-tier or back-end more than anything. I want to be a software developer and continue learning languages to enhance my personal projects as well as employment prospects.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: I love coding, specifically, I love working on a project with the intent to make Dungeons and Dragons (DnD) able to be led by anyone. The first edition was developed in Excel using a simple object-oriented code base that I created before even know what object-oriented programming was. Now, when I am not coding, I do enjoy watching Parks and Rec., playing with my eight cats, and actually playing DnD.
