“I was originally born in Olathe, moved to Louisiana, and then relocated back to Kansas City. I graduated from Park Hill North and after a few years, joined the Air Force. I served in the Air Force as a fully qualified jet engine and aircraft mechanic and a non-commissioned officer.  Last November, after six years of service, I separated from the Air Force.  I was able to travel the world and loved what I was doing, but wanted to come back home to Kansas City and make up for lost time with my daughter.Read More

“For most of my life I have lived and worked with technology.  I spent the last decade in the cell phone industry where I learned many different skills that are invaluable to what my future holds. I learned to listen, to problem solve, and to be client-oriented. Not only did I work in sales, but I spent a lot of my career in management and training. During these times, I learned how to motivate and lead, and how to communicate and instruct people. These years strengthened my love for technology and because of that, I felt the need to move on and gain a deeper understanding of how things worked.Read More

“I was born and raised in Kansas City.  After high school, I worked in various retail stores. As much as I loved interacting with people and the sales aspect of retail, I was always drawn back to technology.  I saw each piece of software implemented at these stores as a new challenge.  I wanted to pursue a career in technology to use my strengths, including, my passion for my work, problem-solving skills, and my addiction to learning new content.Read More

“I am married to my high school sweetheart with an eight-year-old son, and a daughter on the way, due in December. Our family also includes two dogs and two cats.  I am originally from Nebraska, but my family moved to South Carolina when I was nine.  After marrying my husband, his career in the army took us to Fort Bragg until 2010, and then to Fort Leavenworth.  In our spare time we enjoy playing games, including everything from board and card games to video games. We also like to take time to do things outdoors – any adventure is a good adventure.Read More

“I was born in Texas, but have spent most of my life around the Kansas City area.  After graduating high school and being blessed with a daughter, Rhian, I decided to join the Air Force and train as an Air Traffic Controller.  I worked in the aviation industry for over 10 years, both as a military Non-Commissioned Officer for the Air Force and as a civilian Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Government.  I’ve spent time in many different regions of the United States as well as time overseas in Germany, Iraq, and Qatar.  Down the road, I would like to end up in Austin, Texas to be close to my brother and some other family.Read More

“I was born and raised in Kansas City and attended high school in Oak Grove, MO.  Prior to coming to Centriq, I was a Line Cook and Receiver Supervisor at a gourmet grocery store named Dean and Deluca, located in the heart of Leawood.  I worked my way up at Dean and Deluca over my four years of employment there.  However, I realized wasn’t going to be able to grow financially in the way I wanted to by working in the food industry, so I decided to leave Dean and Deluca.  Growing up, I always had a strong passion for technology.  I built my first computer in the 8th grade and obtained a few IT certifications in high school. My passion for technology is what made me decide to go to Centriq.Read More

“I am a lifelong learner who loves dogs, music and all things technology. I grew up in a small town and wrestled for 8 years, even winning the state championship. I moved to Kansas City in high school and enjoy all things KC.  Before coming to Centriq, I was the lead over a small team involved with medical coding, billing, training and customer service at Apria Healthcare for just over four years. Prior to that, I was an assistant manager at Sheridan’s Frozen Custard for over five years. My previous work involvement has provided me a wealth of experience in communication, problem solving, leadership, and how to thrive in ever-changing, fast-paced environments.Read More

“I grew up on a farm outside of a small town, which led me to learn to entertain myself pretty early, mostly by tearing things apart to see how they work, or building Lego cities. After high school, I went to Longview Community College for a year to play baseball then transferred to Missouri State University to study Marketing. Once I graduated, I spent some time in account management/project management based roles, and I found myself building the tools to help my co-workers do their jobs. I’ve always enjoyed studying how people interact with their daily processes and routines. I decided to make a career of turning those processes and routines into software.Read More

“Originally from Kansas City, I joined the Army at a young age. In my time in the military, I worked in Air Defense maintaining Sentinel Radars and sending live air data to all respective ranks. My thought was that I could be patriotic and still secure a career after leaving the military. After leaving and taking a few jobs to assimilate to the civilian world, I decided to use the technical skills gained in the military and join the I.T. industry. Working my way up throughout the years, from Tier 1 Help Desk to Tier 3, I currently work as a Jr Systems Administrator for the infrastructure team at a local company, maintaining the back-end appliances.Read More

“For the last 5 years I’ve been working in restaurant management and marketing in Kansas City, Missouri. I also served in the Missouri National Guard from 2001 to 2009 as a Cannon Crewman. Along the way I’ve gained an understanding of the dynamics of a team, communication, and how to succeed in fast-paced, high-stress situations. In February of 2017 I began attending Centriq Training, and am looking forward to starting a new career with a great company.Read More
