Less than a year before joining Centriq, I graduated from high school. I had a part time job at the Great Wolf Lodge making close to nothing. I did one semester at a community college and then decided IT was the field for me. I chose Centriq because it was quick. I also liked the fact that there were small classes and one on one mentoring sessions when needed. The most enjoyable aspect of attending Centriq was definitely the staff. The Centriq staff is filled with amazing individuals. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the people working behind the scenes, like the career consultant and the counselor, are so helpful! Before Centriq, I had a part time job making $9.00 an hour and felt like it would take me forever to get where I wanted to be. Now after just 8 months, I have a successful career that I am proud of, and I have a salary that allows me to have what I want in life. I would recommend Centriq to anyone and am very thankful to have had this opportunity.

Prior to Centriq, I was a truck driver with Allied Waste Corp. I have had a lot of jobs but never a real career until now. I thought that I would never find a actual career until I found out about Centriq Training. During my track, I really liked the small classroom environment and the hands-on experience that you get from each teacher. And every teacher teaches their class different, so it is never boring. After completing my training course, I found the job that I am doing now within 3 months of graduating from Centriq. I think that I am happier now than ever before. I tell everyone that ask about my new job that it’s the best job I have ever had. I have had a lot of fun jobs, but none compare to this one. If you are looking to change your life and have an actual Career, I would recommend doing the training with Centriq. My wife and I both went to school at the same time, and now we both are working in the IT field. We know that we have job security because technology is just getting better every day.

Prior to Centriq, I read electric meters all day. I was sick of reading meters. I had been doing it for 2.5 years and going to school at nights. I was working towards a degree in computer programming, but at the rate I was going, I wouldn’t get my associates for another 2 years. Every day, the Centriq commercials would come on the radio while I was working, so eventually I decided to take a chance on it.
I really enjoyed the entire track. The instructors were very knowledgeable and easily approachable. The most helpful thing was the hands-on training. It wasn’t “read this chapter and write an essay”. There was actual substance to what we were doing. Also, now that I’m working, it’s nice to see that what we did in class in translating into my job.
What I’m doing right now is actually exactly what I had hoped to be doing eventually in my career. I thought after Centriq I would land a “baby step” sort of position, something that would just help me get into the business. It was just my luck that I got a job where I’m in charge of the entire IT portion of a business. I’ve been here a little over a month and so far I’m developing a subscription based Silverlight application, in charge of debugging and documenting outsourced code, and had to virtualize a network. The crazy thing is, a couple months ago the only thing I was responsible for was making sure I read someone’s electric meter correctly.
