Prior to starting my Centriq Career Track, I was an Office Manager for Farmer’s Insurance. I came to Centriq because I wanted a more rewarding career with a chance for advancement and better pay. I saw the ad in the KC Star and signed up for the Application Developer program. The best part of my Centriq experience was all of it. Having great instructors and a super great class. Learning new things every day. Continually being challenged. After graduation, I got a job as a developer at eScreen. I love my job. The people are great, and I am still learning gobs of information every day. I also really enjoy the database analysis and SQL writing. I enjoy going to work, and I am making a good wage.

Prior to my Centriq Career Track, I laid tile. I came to Centriq because I was tired of dealing with dead-end jobs, and I knew college wasn't for me. Centriq had great instructors, incomparable environment, and a superb staff. I started a developer job less than a month after graduation.
Again, thanks so much for the time and effort spent with me. Centriq has many students the staff had a way of making it a personable experience and it really helped me find my calling into the programming world. I do think had I attended ITT or Devry I would not have got as much personalized attention and I wouldn't be as comfortable doing what I'm doing. Centriq also taught me so much beyond computers with resume building, interview workshops, and how to be professional in a workplace, something so foreign to me before I attended. I will always give my best recommendation to Centriq Training for years to come.

I had my own historic home renovation company, but wanted a change. I looked at several different schools before deciding on Centriq. Some of them were less expensive but were computer based and did not have any classroom training. I decided I needed more interaction with an instructor and liked the classroom setup. I also liked that the track was broken up into learning different aspects of .NET which built on each other. The fact that I was able to completely change my life and start a new career direction in just four months was also a big plus.
The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and very good at interacting with adult students. Their application of themes to real-world problems made me very confident that upon completion I could start working in the IT field and be productive from the onset. My classmates were all 'in the same boat' as I was, which was leaving jobs that weren't going anywhere and wanting to change our lives by entering a much sought after career field. We were pushed to work together as a team and that aspect made my experience more intense but in the end really helped the learning process and promoted that sense of camaraderie. Also the staffs at Centriq are very nice and helpful and were always willing to answer questions or assist me in any way they could.
Two weeks before graduation I got a job! The project that I did and presented for the ASP.NET ADO.NET class really impressed my employer. I also used all of the techniques promoted in the Career Transition Handbook for job searching, resume and cover letter creation, and interview skills and I think all of those things helped me get a job quickly.
